Favorite Fig

Rionon Santana of course!

It's a very good fig (tasting and looking) and it's the only seedling I've come across ever (so far); plus it has a distinguishing leaf pattern on some of the leaves where it will produce 2 little "horns" (one on each side) near the base of the central lobe.

I guess you would have to own it for it to be your favorite.
Right now my favorite female is still my old Celeste because of production and has never let me down.
Many better tasting figs. But taste and productivity are two different things.
Favorite males right now are UCD and FPTC but it would br different if in wasp land. :)
Ohh I have a (or actually 2, but in the same pot) UCD caprifig that I rooted last year and they’re starting to wake up!
Supposed to have edible main crop - is that the case? If so, what’s it like?

Favorite fig I’ve tasted was a marseille black VS. We let it hang ripening until the skin around the neck shrunk a little… it was perfect! Tasted very berry(some said raspberry flavored) and texture was great!
Sadly don’t have that one currently… downsized from a move🤦‍♂️ I’m working on some cuttings though… I’m sure I’ll be able to trade for it eventually…😀 the fig community is the most generous for sure!

looks interesting....tight eye too? If your willing to part with some cuttings of them at some point, I'd be honored.
Yes tight eye. It has dropped breba here in the last 2 years but those were young plants. I've got one in a 25g pot and one in the ground to see if the breba hold this year.

Yeah I'll hopefully have cuttings this winter =)
