Favorite Fig

Yellow Lebanese or sisters fig were probably the top spot for me then Greek isles. I had an Unk Lyon that the first fig tasted like cherry syrup that would be top but the flavor mutated into a standard etna flavor by the end of season.
 
I still would like to hear the smuggling story, perhaps supplied with the cuttings.

What would even be fantastic is to sit with your father via camera/recorder over a casual coffee and recount his beloved figs and what drove him to smuggle them out of Iran. That would be epic!
