I admire you dedication...
I'm certainly going to try... believe me... it's only because I ripened so few un until now compared to normal. I have so many that are on the cusp....

Nice joe, I like how you’re at least experimenting. I’m greatful this weather has been cooperating with me and at least I’m able to eat a dozen or more of the my inground. I’m eating figs that started first of July. All I need to do is wake up this tree early May and I’ll be enjoying tons of figs. They’re so much better than the potted battaglia. Although I pick them off slightly early they are still delicious which is a bonus. I picked these today from my inground I’m so happy I got to finally enjoy inground figs. I picked a good 5 of them in the photo and im stilll getting more to ripen. View attachment 14577
Next season I’ll be building a temporary greenhouse over the inground to kick start the tree. I think that’s better than trying to get quality figs in the fall season. I think I finally established a good rood system and growth of it. Now it’s all about the right timing to wake it up. So two things for me is to rig up my hose line with the hot water this way I can water the ground and setup a temporary greenhouse. They look really good for October! Nice board too!
I'm going to try and stick it out until end of the month if the floppy greenhouses don't blow awayMy favourite one out front on the I-258 has a lot of repair done and not holding up well. can't find another tall one like that anywhere.

Looks great joe I’m also still picking from the inground. Battaglia can be early for me if I can just figure the early start or else I’d have to do what your doingI'm still plucking figs. I'm really hoping I make my ripening target before the electric bill arrives.
The figs are good but like I mentioned... the humidity is pretty high. It's making them a bit splitty. If I can do this every day or two for another week I'll be pretty happy.
