Cutting mortality

If it is at all reassuring @Kid Fig I believe I have just a couple of these cuttings given to me by a unnamed beneficent donor somewhere in Santa Barbara. Do you wish RS quarantined?
Nah you're good 👍

I will say you might want to hold onto them since I did lose 2 of the 3 original rooted cuttings/small plants but most likely it was user error as opposed to being hard to root - but just incase; at least untill you know it isn't going to suddenly off and die.

Apparently @Fig Gazer is a Master Class Rooter-er and makes propigatiing look easy lol.

I know someone who has a couple ;)

LOL - wow both made it huh?!

So now with this new info I think it's just me - I guess I'm just OK when it comes to propigating.

I gotta go the Way of Zapp Brannagin- and plant wave after wave of cuttings untill SUCCESS!

Yep.... I got two :)

I'm far from perfect... I have my losses.

I've only ever tried three grafts... I'm at 100% kill rate there. Hoping to hone that skill a bit this year.

I won't even try grafting - with my luck the tree dies but the graft remains viable...
Now you need another mango fig just so you can use that name!
LOL - not gonna lie I am tempted JUST so I can use it.

Maybe Girsh × RS or Saleeb × RS or Wild Capri #1 × RS.

We will propagate, and then hold on to the (RS) Mucho Mango Madness fig. To keep it safe in our Orchard Repository. LOL that is if we can propagate it.

I knew I read it a while back but I had to look it up.... The one place I saw it referenced referred to it as a Caulimovirus that has been identified. I believe it's related to a virus that causes mosaic diseases in other plants.

Yeah.... the only sticks getting garlic rubbed on them here are "bread" :)
Mmmmm. Garlic bread. 🧄🍞
