So, I find different spelling variations of CDDG - it seems it is the same variety? From what I have gleaned form the internet - Col de Dame Gris is from the French side of the border and Coll de Dama Grise is from the Spanish side of the border? Is this correct?

CDDG could also refer to CdD Gegantina
Which I believe would be Spanish or Catalan. Thus, Coll de Dama Gegantina. That's how Pons spells it, anyway.

Col de Dame Gris is from the French side of the border and Coll de Dama Grise is from the Spanish side of the border? Is this correct?
Both Gris and Grise are French -- the former is masculine and the latter is feminine. I don't know where Col de Dame Gris is from, but if it's French, I believe that is how it would be spelled in French. Col is masculine, therefore Gris. The difficulty arrives when you realize that "gris" also means gray in Spanish, and it's invariable, meaning it doesn't change depending on if it's modifying a masculine or feminine noun. So seeing "gris" alone doesn't help. "Gris" also means gray in Catalan, but it has a feminine-'grisa.' So if you see Grisa, that's a Catalan name, I think. I can't think of a time I saw a 'Grisa' fig, though.
