Mine has not fruited yet. But no die back with that crazy freeze we had last winter. They root like figs but sometimes take a lot longer to do so. Worth a try.

I'm interested in how you ship the cuttings because I tried shipping mine and the thorns are razor sharp. It pierces through the bag.

I am growing all of mine in containers, but the hardy ones , when we move, I'm thinking of leaving one in a container and planting one, to have a back up.
