Citrus seedling

That is very cool! How is the flavor?

We have one citrus tree. My daughter went through a stage where she was very interested in planing seeds to see what would happen (which was awesome). She planted one orange seed about 10 or 11 years ago. I have to admit, it doesn’t always get the attention it should. This year, for the first time ever, it had 4 blossoms, but none of them took.

As far as flavor. Reminded me of a Kumquat and Yuzu mix. And like yuzu it is full of seeds. But the peel is very tasty to me. And seems to be full of oils. If that makes sense. For most this would be a cooking citrus. Yours? I would give it time. Mine average 5 to 8 years. But one took twenty. And still is not very productive. But produces a very tasty almost seedless blood orange when it decides to.

I love the sound of the great tasting skin!  Sounds like a unique one.  I only have the one citrus tree...do they need a pollinator?  Or is once usually sufficient?

How long do those take to fruit from seed mike?
I just up potted an Owari, but it's not from seed.

Edit...I just read your reply to Randy...I see. lol
