Ciliegia Dolce 2024

Wow!  I really like this variety!  The tree grows well and it seems to put on figs at many nodes...maybe not every node, but quite a few.

Been eating these for a few weeks now, but finally took pictures of one.  Ciliegia Dolce has very good flavor...good intense berry flavor, slight seed crunch.  This one is starting to get a bit jammy.  The skin is slightly chewy, but in a good way (at least to me).  This one was just beginning to split a little, but I have been able to get other ones to ripen more than the one pictured and the flavor gets stronger or more concentrated.  This is definitely a keeper for me.

@"RandyK"#37 . Another beautiful thing with an even more amazing description.Ciliegia Dolce a truly scrumptiously photogenic fig. Flavorful and incredibly productive. This is a fig tree I want to propagate, and grow. This winter, and the following spring.

Very nice!

I believe I had this cued up in a cart once and it sold out before I checked out.
Since then I just got too many trees and decided to scratch a bunch before adding anymore.

That makes me question my decision... lol

Good looking fig Randy. It's been in my collection for 4 years now and it's definitely a keeper. 👍
