“CDDB”

Well it dropped all of the figs. Even with the extra water. The dude I got it from never messaged me back either. So I doubt it’s even CDDB. So my options are burn it, or since I have that GXY tree growing now too, I could try and hand pollinate them next year to see if that works? Quite annoyed with that tree to be honest. Dishonest people really grind my gears to put it mildly. 2 whole seasons lost. It’s starting to push new growth, but that also annoys me too since it dropped all the figs lol. Then to top it off, a squirrel chewed on two branches of my plumeria tree too. Now I have to hope they don’t die off lol. What a day…

Sucks that he's not getting back to you. I find that very bad form.

That said, it's not necessarily a dud. I've had trees drop figs for a couple years before they hit their stride

What do the leaves look like? Most of the cdd's are pretty unique, at least the dominant leaf shape. Lacking fruit that might at least give you an idea of whether it's worth keeping up the right.

I think I have an extra cddb in a tree pot if it survived the heat while I'm at the beach. Ping me if you are interested.

So one thing so I thought about yesterday was that he may have kept this in a green house. So do yall think it would take 2 years or more to readjust to be outside? Idk.

I’ve attached the pictures of the leaves.

Yea, I would be interested. Just let me know when you get back and we can go from there.

Don’t give up on it yet, give another year. The tree looks very healthy but young trees do that I have a small Panche tree in ground for 4 years and this is the first year it held its figs (so far) the last 3 years it would drop the figs 1/2 way. Good luck

I'm my opinion, those leaves don't rule out being a CdD, but I am used to seeing the 'trident' points on the central lobe and usually a 'thumb' or two on the very bottom. Someone like this (my apologies to whoever owns this picture):

CddB has a variety of leaves that I can't tell from the leaves alone.

Talk about dropping, my Pastiliere dropped about half of the figs so far.. And I already pollinated them. It is pretty sensitive to water. Too much water it drops. Not enough water it drops.
