Brazos Bottom Red

I have to ask, what's the story with Texas BA-1? Is it better than Smith and is it really from TAMU?

Up for bid by @JMF75 who is a member here.

So much hype. I guess a lot of people must have received A+ grade in their grade school language art classes!

It seems we found another fig unicorn. The owner does not want other people to take photos of that tree. I have no problem if anyone wants to take photos of my trees. I get hundreds of them.
God help me now I want a Brazos Bottom Red too. Love me a big red fig sweet has candy.

Just a week or so ago, the last one on FigBid went for like $30. Are we to blame for the sudden interest? Did someone here win it?

I won it last week… and it was a good deal…just lucky I guess … I can’t quite figure it out… I usually look at the selling history of the variety being sold… but there is no consistency usually. I guess they get dead set on acquiring it.

Alrighty guys I got me a brazos bottom red coming in the mail next week. Probably shouldn’t have bid it up but it was midway of my last max bid and where the last sale ended. I will pot up to a large container so I can share with this group by the end of next growing season! I may be able to get an air layer or two by the end of this year but next year the magic will happen lol

@Bofig I believe in making vision statements. Can we please name her "Big Red"??? Pretty please? May she grow really big and strong!

Howdy From Texas!

Anyone here know of a source for Brazos Bottom Red? I believe that a Figbid seller, figbidness, is the originator from a mother tree in their family out in the Bryan-College Station area. Sadly, I live in Texas, but finding rooted cuttings or trees is difficult.

Best,
Heather
He has it up on Figbid
