Anyone have a current list of Fig Festivals in 2026?

I'd like to attend as many fig festivals as I can this year.
Was hoping there was a fig festival list.

Please add festivals you know about with any details you want to share.

Here are a few I know about.

Ocracoke 13th Annual Fig Festival August 6-8, 2026
Celebrate the great history of figs in Ocracoke.
Chester Lynn, a friend of mine, is the local fig expert and historian on all things Ocracoke...
Chester was instrumental in documenting, growing, propagating and creating current interest in the figs of Ocracoke.
The festival is three days with the biggest events happening on August the 7th.

Figapalooza 4th Annual Fig Festival Sept 19th, 2026 in Greenville, NC.
Organizer, Malcolm Heath runs a top notch festival.
I attended Figapalooza last year as a vendor, selling only Brown Turkey fig trees. It was a great festival.
This year's Figapalooza, I am certain will be even better.

Spruill Conservation Farm's 4th Annual Fig Festival Sunday August 2nd, 2026 in Roper, NC
This is a grassroots and small festival located in Roper, NC. Spruill Conservation Farm backs up to the Albemarle sound.
Features a fig orchard with 55 trees and 23 different varieties. Many trees are estimated to be 100 years old.
Last year there were 100 or so in attendance. This year they are adding more fig related vendors, Beekeeping, History, Conservation and Environmental exhibitors. Not to mention a Nature Trail and fun for the whole family.
The festival will also feature live music, fig bake off, and food by a well known professional chef... They expect to triple last year's attendance numbers.
More details to come whenever the press release is ready, I will post it here.

I highly recommend attending all of these festivals...

Perhaps some of us on the figfanatic site can meet up at some of these festivals.
 
I'm surprised you have 3 fig festivals almost back to back in NC. I see one of those events is a multi-day event. I would love to see that myself.

I have only been to the DMV Fig Fest in Fall, DMV winter cutting exchange so far and I'm looking forward to attending the Spring one coming up. I don't think the Fall date for the DMV Fig Fest has been announced for 2026 but it's usually in September. The DMV Group winter cutting exchange occurs in early December which is a smaller event with less demos and people.

I've gottah try to attend fig frolic, hear great things about it, As for getting together. I will stop by the state farmer's market to see if they can host. Might take a few days to get a response but think we have enough interest in this group to make it happen.

The figs are a bigger deal here than I realized. Honestly if it wasn't for good people like Malcolm Health, Chester Lynn and The Spruill Conservation Farm, less people would be interested... However throw in the word "Festival" and then you've got interest... A lot of people love festivals... people like to do something with their families especially on weekends, just have food, especially ice cream and they will come. It gets hot in the summer in NC. Thank you everyone for the festival suggestions... keep them coming..
 
My back yard lol I guess there’s a possibility but first let’s all pray for rain… or we’ll just have a dust bowl…

I’ll reach out to the NC State Farmers Market it’s about an hour west of me.

To my knowledge there isn't one on Atlanta. If you are referring to the Fig A Rama, I do not know if there is going to be one this year. The founder sold his fig farm and the committee hasn't said where it's going to be held.

That is the one.
 
Not sure if they are doing it this year but there was the "Sunset Louisiana Fig Event" last year I think it might have happened if it was going to this year but haven't seen anything about it.

Actually the Spruill Conservation Farm Fig Festival is multi day to include a 5k run and some other events however the fig part is only on Sunday 8-2-26 10am to 3pm I think...

Also Figs are ripe in the eastern part of the state, usually late June, July and in early August.. Some varieties are later
and of course it varies from year to year depending on the weather and rain or lack of it.
