Anyone else use the battery pruners

@Italian4u Speaking of which... I didn't even realize that Harvey showcased these as well

I almost bought that one as well because that brand is very good but then the lady at ace hardware told me if I’m buying the Dewalt power clippers on sale I should also add the small cordless Dewalt chainsaw that was also on sale and I will tell you she upsold me so fast lol 😂

I get that. I invested early on in Ridgid cordless tools. Like 15-20 years ago. They have a lifetime replacement on batteries so no matter how much better another make might be, I can't beat free batteries forever. My buddies in the trades all use Dewalt and Milwaukee and mock me... but I'm too cheap to change now!

Look at this pruner Harvey got. Full body harness.

Yeah felco makes one like that its like $2500. The one I bought on Amazon once you pull the trigger its making the cut all the way thru, but my kobalt one you have to hold the trigger all the way thru, if you let off half way the blade opens back up, kinda feels a little safer to me

That's my issue. I originally got a Kobalt drill on sale for some things around the house. Then added another tool because I had the battery. Kept this pattern and now I feel I'm sorta invested too much to switch to anything else. @TorontoJoe Troy has a bunch of videos pruning with his Ridgid tools. Both the pruner and reciprocating saw. They look like they work good.

I really like my Milwaukee pruners but it is heavy.
When I went to the MANTS show last week, there was a sweet little cordless electric pruner from a company called Zen. It looks really close to the one AM Leonard has pictured.

May be better that you need to hold the trigger since the first reaction to any pain would be to let go.

The Ridgid recip saw spends more time in my garden than anywhere else

And if you just wanna spend less the other one I have from Amazon is really nice to, and it comes with everything

I just saw that Felco has electric pruners.
$850!! Are they insane?

Am I just ignorant, but can’t a good pair be had for under $120?

Those are the cheap ones the ones like Harvey uses with a backpack and cable are close to $2500. Lol.
If your looking for a pair I have the kobalt, which are $100. But dont come with the battery, and i have a pair from Amazon I think i paid $50 that i think are just as good and they come with 2 batteries extra blades and a storage case.
