And so it starts.

I just asked my husband if he brought the last of the pro mix BX from the other house he said there wasn’t anymore. Oh great hope Walmart or Lowes has some leftover anything to put my 2 cuttings in that are arriving from OTBP this week.

Back in the old country, there were these people known as the Norcini (loosely translated as pig butchers). They would highly respected experts in all things pig. A family on a homestead would grow their hogs to maturity... The travelling norcini would visit the home. They would break down and process an entire hog(s), wasting nothing in the process. Everything was used and preserved in the traditional way. For payment they would usually take a cut.

Why do I even mention this?

I just thought it would be cool if at the end of the season some highly skilled, travelling fig-mystic could arrive at my house. They would do all my pruning, root pruning, up-potting....they would add fert and move all heavy pots into the garage and shed... then they'd wrap and winter protect all my trees before cleaning all the tools, tidying the yard and winterizing the drip system.... keeping all my cuttings as payment. But, I guess then they'd have all the fun.
