Alcohol 😀

No not the drinking kind....lol

I was just wondering, has anyone simply tried using rubbing alcohol on a Q tip as a remedy for any critters?

Thrips or spider mites etc etc.

I guess I should say...wiping it lightly on the leaves top and bottom.

I have done it in the past with no Ill effect.

I'm not really a fan of oils, the alcohol works instantly and evaporates.
Bigger plants I use a rag but on rooted cuttings I use a Qtip.

If you drink enough of it you won’t care about the critters! 😊

I think alcohol would work. Maybe risk of drying if too much is used.

Have you tried H2O2? I’ve used that a lot and never had issues

I have used that too.
FYI....I only take a nip every few plants. 😂

I have no experience with doing that and assume a small amount at targeted areas would be ok but in general, using alcohol can strip the leaves protective waxy layer and cause dehydration and maybe further damage to the plant but a small amount on a Q tip applied locally to infected area would not be a big deal like Kevin mentioned
