3 figs from 1 node!!!

Is that 4 from one node close to the base? Productive tree whatever it is.
The stem is so small I can't tell if it's actually 1 node down there.

I spoke with @SpiritFarmVa about this. It's probably Unkown Sicily - A fig he found growing at his inlaws in Ohio, which was brought over by a family from Sicily long ago.

I got a lot of rootstock earlier this year from Todd and there was a lot of Unknown Sicily in there. There were 2 trees in there that mutated dramatically when they woke up and had what looked like their flowers inverted and facing on the outside of the fruit. The pic in the opening post with the 4 fruits at the bottom on one node reminds me of that same mutation / oddity. The others didn't grow and I culled them. I took some pics, i'll see if I can find 1 and upload here.
Found it. If you look at the pic i think those are ALL fruit, but with the flowers on the outside.20250331_102719.jpg

That is very interesting. Figs are not truly fruits. This one if I am seeing this right. Looks to be producing flowers without the outer cover of the fig. Now I wonder if you pollinate them. Will they produce a true fruit? Thanks for the photo. Never seen this before. :)

How much for one node? Apparently that's all I need
let's see what it tastes like first..lol. After the fruit starts to ripen Todd said he could tell me if it is an Unknown Sicily, which he said is a very delicious variety. This would then be considered a sport I guess. Basically 90-95% of the nodes are 2-4 figs per node. Impressive! Then the same would need to be replicated again next year.

I think I saw one or two of triplets on this one too.
