The east lacks in native fruits that are considered one of the best in the country.I am a bit envious that you folks can grow Paw-Paws. I have yet to taste but the "hype" is mouth watering. Growing paw paws in coastal Southern California is a bit of a challenge (chill hours around 100 hrs), but some home gardeners have successfully zone pushed after trialing a few varieties. At our daughters urging, we have a year old stick in a five gallon pot in the shade. Many years of crossing fingers to go.
Unlike the west that has so much to offer.
At least we can boast about something. Lol
I hope it does well for you there.
Unfortunately I have a couple years to go having decided to grow these recently.
It will be worth the wait.
