We purchased a 16’ - 20’ tall October Glory Red Maple tree last week from our favorite nursery, they delivered it this morning. Tomorrow my new Maekawa Jiro tree from Ty Ty nursery is scheduled for delivery.
Have a nice crew installing the new red maple tree and we are using the dirt from the hole for my garden bed. We’re going to build that under the old clothes line.

I looked at the first couple of pictures and was planning to ask you what machine they used to dig the hole for that giant root ball..... then I scrolled down and wow! Those guys can dig a hole!

Wow! Now that's a big one... gonna look gorgeous when it leafs out. I would NOT have wanted to be on shovel duty for digging that hole!!!

That's a big caliper tree. Nice! It's going to take a good 2 years for it's roots to get established, but the tree is lucky that it landed at your place. You will water it and take good care of it. Not everyone would do that. It's going to be so beautiful in the fall!
