Correct. Planning to try hand pollination on it eventually, where I'm at.It's a San Pedro type, right? So you probably wouldn't get main crop unless you were in fig wasp zone

I love me some LSU GoldHow did they taste?
Oo la la! It's going to be a tasty year!
Can you tell by the pics if they are breba or main crop?LSU Breba Gold. Always gigantinormous
How old is this tree? I have a two year old tree with nothing like that on it currently.
The Green Ischia that I got from the same nursery and is the same age and size as the LSU Gold has two little pea sized figlets on it. That tree has some issues that I expect it to grow out of, but it will be far behind the other trees. Next year I think it will do well.I started mine from a cutting. I hopefully should get figs this year but nothing like what yours shows. Next year though it should be awesome.
Wow—think that’s the biggest fig I’ve seen. Congrats!180 gram yellow long neck. If it only tasted a bit larger too
Did you have luck rooting the cuttings? I hope they were easy to root. If they are so I can look for cuttings this coning winterI know someone that grows it in Arizona, her fig is 50 feet tall by 25/30 feet wide. The figs are HUGE off her tree.
I'm currently trying to root some cuttings she gave me.
it's a honey fig

Yeah the shape got wanky -- tubular, because it was squeezed inside 4 inch x 6 inch organza bag to protect against BFF. Next year, I'll upgrade to 6x9
4 inches would be the circumference. 1.3 inch diameter, but tubularThat’s the diameter!?!? Crazy!
