Collecting fruit trees can become overwhelming fast. Take your time collecting. Remember you need to protect them this winter.
Also the hobby should be enjoyable. If it becomes to much work. Get rid of your least favorites. Not only will it be less stressful for you.
But you will have time to properly care for the trees you keep. :)

I've been considering the crash and burn i might suffer this winter and know it will be expensive lesson but for life reasons I need to try this now.. most likely heavy losses I expect this winter and I thank you for wise advice

I understand. If you have a garage, Clear out a spot for your trees to overwinter. Or a back porch you can seal off with painters plastic.
Many ways to keep them over winter. But many months before any of us need to worry about that. For now.
It is growing season. My favorite time of year. :)

So in love with this tree don't want take it outside knowing it will be better for it

PS don't know how to end this thread or how they work really don't know are they endless or how they end srry
It can get confusing. You'll click on a link to a recent post on the home page and someone will be posting pictures of a juicy ripe fig they picked "yesterday" in Cleveland. And it's January....It takes a while before you realize the thread is from August 2025, but someone recently replied, but you got taken to the first post in the thread because it's the oldest post on the thread you haven't read.

All of which is to back up Mike's point that future members will post on today's threads, just like members today will post on last year's threads, so threads never truly die.
