Black Manzanita. I really like this fig, especially if allowed a few extra days of hang time. Alot of my brebas are falling off. We have had a couple significant storms this past 10 days. I am playing with fire to let it hang a bit more.

My DTE are always first to ripen breba.
I have one or two about there.

Ha, I killed my DTE cuttings. I think it would do well here in central Ohio. I may try again.

My 2nd leaf Black Manzanita and DTE both dropped all their brebas. Hopefully, they will give me some main crops. Fortunately, Oak str Unk, Sangue Dolce, and Verdolino brebas are all looking good now.

Mine is third year and gave me some great main crop last year. They both have grown well, and I am looking forward to it! My Sangue has no breba, but is growing like a champ!

Hey Darren, Buckeye growers huh? My input is get familiar with the fig shuffle. Do your research for appropriate varieties, and join the Queen City Fig Growers on facebook. Nice people! You just missed one of the gatherings. They even give away some top notch figs to newbies. I may attend one soon. I really do not sell. I have given quite a few away. This community is very generous for the price of postage. Buy more land, fig acquisition will get out of hand. If I think about it I will list what does well for me here just southeast of Columbus, if you think it could help.

I was mistaken. Sangue Dolce has 3 brebas. Anticipation!
