Question for you all....

I have ALOT of fig trees and fruit trees that I just can't up pot anymore. They have up potted to the max, very healthy, just waiting on me to move and get them in the ground.

I would like to top off the soil in them, but if I buy the Lamberts I like for potting my cuttings, that could be very very expensive.

I use a mix of Lamberts growing mix and a conditioner.

What do you all use ? And...do you put mulch on top of your pots ? I never have, but I have a giant bag of rice hulls I could use.

I don't have any in-ground trees, but I've heard you can just put the fig tree in the ground and fill in any empty space with some of the native soil you dug out.....

I don't know how much soil you need to add to your pots, but you might be able to *only* use the rice hulls.
