How's everyone's garlic looking?

Cool. Never heard of it. I'll definitely try it.

Fennel pollen is probably the second most expensive spice in the world after saffron... if you can find it. I paid an obscene amount of money to have 200g imported from Tuscany before I realized it grows amazing here. On a 1x1 metre raised bed I can easily produce about 250g of pollen per season plus lots of seed and leafy green to use in pickling etc.

On a porchetta..... Oh baby! I do one with a rind-on belly wrapped around a capo with all the seasoning inside

Some of my garlic... two small beds... also have it in three large containers... Loooooove garlic... :)

How can garlic not be considered ornamental? It's stunning...

Best thing is you get 2 for 1 on the bed. Lots of time for a cool crop like beans or greens in the same space after you harvest.

Not to mention that you also get a 2 for 1 on garlic itself... garlic and garlic scapes. People who never tried garlic scapes are really missing out. I can't wait! Sauteed in butter or grilled and served with a juicy steak... yum.....

@Figgin' A Best pic I could find on my phone. Not sure it does it justice. But you can see the familiar growth habit and flower shape. They get about shoulder high. To date I've not seen a pest harm them in any way

Sheesh, someone at my wifes work gave her some garlic to plant, of course they didn't know what variety.
I did plant some in a pot.
Half of them are coming up.....into the freeze dryer they will go when it's time.
