New Fig Grower Looking for Advice

Based on y'alls comments i'm wondering if this is just a temperature problem.

I did my best to regulate it but the grow tent in my garage did have some pretty high temps during a few unusually high spring temp periods over the last couple months.

Could it be that the high temps caused the buds to start forming before the roots had a chance to grow?

Even when i had the heating mats off, there were days that reached upper 80s and in those cases i didn't really have anything i could do besides blast the fans inside the grow tent, which only brought things down a few degrees.

Perhaps in the future I shouldn't move things out into the garage grow tent until roots establish?

Latest update:

Hollier still struggling but still alive

Celestes still growing but starting to see some brown on the edges of the older leaves.

signs of life in a couple of the superbowl fig pops

A few more superbowl fig pops molded over.

Still nothing on the restarted cat food containers. No mold though.

Those two leafy ones (to the middle right and to the top center of the photo) look to me like they can go out into partial sun unless you have overnight lows in the low 40s coming up. @Kompakfigs, what do you think?

Move them outside and put them in the shadiest part of your house. Most of my leafed out cuttings are outside in full shade. If you notice leaf wilt bring them inside but under the growlight(s). My fully acclimated rooted cuttings are in the greenhouse. The brown edges probably from the too
grow light exposure.
I checked Raleigh’s 10 day forecast and man, it is going to be hotter than heck.
Left pic is of 50% acclimation and the right pic is full acclimation.

Too... what?

That is awesome. What did you do differently?
Compacted the soil. The original one i had purposefully avoided compaction.

I still put a plastic wrap on top but I just took it off when I saw the growth poking out. I actually had to scrape off about a quarter inch of the mix as the node was slightly underground.

Fingers crossed that it keeps!

I have a few rooted cuttings that have branches coming out from under the soil.

So far its looking like the holliers growth has improved. The newer leaves definitely look healthier and so far no browning on them
