Hi, planning on selling some duplicates local only. Theyre in 4x14 tree pots. Not sure what a reasonable price is for unverified plants. Varieties range from not well known stuff like flatbush red to more desirable stuff like cdd and angelito. I dont know what would be a reasonable price to reflect the labor that went into rearing them but also that i cant be 100% on them being true to name, even though theyre from reputable locations.

I've purchased some desirables in 4x9 tree pots around 2' tall with leaves in the $30-$35 range including shipping. Not sure if that is standard to too low pricing since it included shipping.

I would check figbid. Prices can range from $20 and up. Make sure you standardized the shipping boxes and confirm with the buyer if usps, ups and/or fedex will deliver to their location. I sold a rooted cutting to a NE grower and had to ship it via FedEx. It was costly for sure.
Sure you want to make some money but how low on the price do you want to go.

I just plan on selling it locally at fig meet-up and fb marketplace unless its to a friend

I sold this MBVS for $15 plus $20 shipping and handling because I didnt want to deal with extras. Now that I use pirateship, shipping might be cheaper.

Local sales are better. Heck, drop their names when selling the unks :D. I got Euclid unk for free from Lee when I bought like $150 worth of trees when he was in the fig propagating and growing mindset a few years back.

I haven’t seen much posted from Lee lately. Does he do much with figs anymore?

I would check various sources online and try to be competitive with pricing. Your labor is just as valuable as anybody else's. As for them being not verified, a buyer takes chances every time a purchase is made. Mistakes happen. If one is found, be willing to correct it if the buyer kept his receipt.

I think it depends on the variety and how big/healthy the plant is. But researching on figbid is a start. Also, you might have to adjust pricing down if there is not much demand since you are just selling locally.

The average Joe won’t know the difference between an Angelito, Flatbush Red or a CDD. The nurseries in my area that sell fig trees usually only have a green, white or purple fig tree for sale. Price is typically in the $20-25 for one or two gallon pots.

I paid $35 to $50 for trees last August that had been started the previous year. I'd gladly pay $25 for a nice tree started this winter.
