I haven't checked out the redesign yet for this reason. Ross was who I started my research with initially and his info was great but so hard to find what I needed. Now I tend to watch a lot of Mike Kincaid and millennial gardener. Might have to check out Ross's page again though.
Yes ross is a super knowledgable and nice dude and makes great videos for this area and microclimate. From what i hear the other place ran him off for selling a rare cutting that was expensive. Crazy how every rare cutting is expensive now. Not a fan of the other place never have been. Ive only talked to a few people in the figworld who were just not nice people or have this weird bogarting their figs. Ross has always been awesome
Cuz he is the fig BOSS.
. What is even more remarkable is that he still puts out yt content because he truly enjoys growing figs and sharing his knowledge.
I agree that some of his cuttings are overpriced, but that is not an issue for me since I am in Europe.
A lot of people i respect have overpriced cuttings. The fact is buying from a known source that you watch videos of them treating the tree right does add value. Not enough for me to pay that price but if I was richer maybe. Though if I was rich rich id just buy trees
Yeah, I fully understand the reason behind a price, but when I compare it to respected people here like Paolo Belloni, Pons or Baud, it is interesting how it works. But I think the US market is different, so that could be another reason adding to it.
It wasn’t his fault that someone bought an expensive cutting from him.
