3weeks - 2 months. The temp varies drastically as my house isn’t very well insulated and is at the mercy of the weather.
Yea even consistently like 72+ is better than inconsistent heat.

Im using a 3’x5’ grow tent with a mat with temperature regulator set at 75. Have an LED grow light, fan, and air filter. Using cup method with varying success. After running out of cups I began filling up bags with coco cuir and perlite mix at around 1:3 with the bag tops open and some holes cut in the bottom. Those in the bags have rooted better than the cups so far…much more vigorous roots.

I forgot to add that they are also in a plastic bin with an inch or so of wet bark in the bottom

Just keep in mind BM is considered a harder to root and grow variety. Seems to be a very slow grower in many cases.
Some inconsistency in temperatures is okay. Think about growing outside— warm days, cool nights. But it does need a period of warmth for a certain amount of hours to get going, usually anything over 70° is good. I think it’s good the heat mat you got doesn’t put out too much heat.

I help a lot of people on fig pops, and I would be happy to help you too. As a new Fig grower, you need to hit a couple out of the park and get your confidence up!

I just stuck them in 4x9 tree pots in a way too wet and heavy rooting medium. They all rotted

Yea it took its sweet time and the 2node cutting of it put out some roots then just died on me. Not sure what happened as no rot, maybe it got too dry. I’ll keep babying. Scared bc my dog got nosey and shoved the cutting pretty good, but we’ll see and I have another if he fubared it.

I went and picked up my cuttings yesterday. After 5days of not being able to check on them(long story) I watered them and checked to see if I’d lose any. I started looking at my CdD gris and found not one but 2 figs growing on it lol. I’ll take it as a sign it’s going to be a productive little tree.

Welp another day of a painful downturn and a bright spot. First the bad, my CdD Noir is looking bad. I have noticed some fungus gnats so I’m not sure if they damaged roots before I could repot it in new soil or if the time it got hit with cold is taking it out. This one hurts as it was so promising and I don’t have a replacement. Holding out the tiniest hope, but not looking good. If it fails I’ll do some trading later on and get another. Now the bright spot! A white Triana cutting that I was just going to let sit and rot due to it’s stubbornness has popped a root.
