You gotta feed it like crazy. The one you see is only 7 months oldI just talked to someone about this one, and he said that it is a slow grower for him.

About 7 feet.. Was about 7 feet. Since I brought it indoors it has spread out a bit and not as tall but due the change from sun and heat to indoors it's 3 branches have widened out. Gotta feed Kno3. Towards the end of the season it was growing about a inch every 2 to 3 days7 months? How tall is it?
Mine is not grafted. It's on its own rootsSicilian 33 grafted grows quickly as my first year trees grew to around 6’ tall even after a tip prune at 3’ to encourage branching.
I mean take awhile to show roots and node swelling? Im going on almost a month with nothing and have a fairly high success rateRooted cutting what I started with. I fed it life stupid amounts of food lol
I pulled the 2 today that have been in a month the lsu st gabriel has 0 anything but no rot or anything. The s33 has pre root nodules... in case anyone caredMine is not grafted. It's on its own roots
Hope you are using growth hormoneI pulled the 2 today that have been in a month the lsu st gabriel has 0 anything but no rot or anything. The s33 has pre root nodules... in case anyone caredreading these posts had me stressing. Back into the warmer tho...
I use my finger to rub take root powder on them generally have really high success rates...of about 90 varities i noticed i258 and boysenberryblush generally take about a month atleast this is my first and only s33 but ill chalk it up to being a slow one for now. Just happy it has root nodules. Pretty skinny with a lot of pith so i wasnt praying on muchHope you are using growth hormone

Is Santa Claus Lane late?this variety seems good but any fig ripening right now seems like it would be basicaly impossilbe for me to eat, so I dont see why id put santa clause ln and sicillian 33 etc on there.
I mean i think its named that because it ripens on christmasIs Santa Claus Lane late?
aparently not why its named that, but still i see lots of references to it being someones last to ripen fig and people commenting around this time of year its ripeningI mean i think its named that because it ripens on christmas
I think there’s a distinction of really late season fig vs a long season fig.aparently not why its named that, but still i see lots of references to it being someones last to ripen fig and people commenting around this time of year its ripening
like so
i agree but 70% ripe and the first figs you try, that seems lateI think there’s a distinction of really late season fig vs a long season fig.
No option to wake a few early or do you mainly grow in ground?this variety seems good but any fig ripening right now seems like it would be basicaly impossilbe for me to eat, so I dont see why id put santa clause ln and sicillian 33 etc on there.
While this is a late fig, a few things to take into consideration, it was may of this year when it was a 5 inch rooted stick. Next year will be a better timing hopefullythis variety seems good but any fig ripening right now seems like it would be basicaly impossilbe for me to eat, so I dont see why id put santa clause ln and sicillian 33 etc on there.
I dont have any sort of greenhouse, just grow them on my driveway. I am strategically painting my garage door a dark color to do a fake greenhouse. will let you know how that goes LOLNo option to wake a few early or do you mainly grow in ground?
