Did you meet the auction reserve? It's possible that you were the high bidder but it wasn't high enough to satisfy the sellers reserve.

You may have bought 31 cuttings but I know your getting more then that in the mail.I've been saying all summer and early fall that I don't have any more room for any additional fig trees. My orchard is maxed out in its current layout, and I definitely prefer in ground trees to potted.
I've been confidently saying all summer and early fall that I won't get any new cuttings this fall/winter.
I had a wish list that I had started before I realized that I'm maxed out, based completely off of discussions that have occurred on this forum.
There was no doubt in my mind that I was not getting any new cuttings...
The "Underrated Varieties" thread got resurrected...
I just bought 31 cuttings on figbid...

I’ll be giving away several hundred cuttings to forum members over the coming months. I’ll make sure not to enable you.
Find the "buy it now" sales. The seller should submit feedback. A few forum members do sell cuttings on figbid.

probably this, frustrating if so because its back up without one lol. I got a email confirmation of the bidding but no email i didnt win
honestly right now cheap stuff to get ratings LOL. I could use stuff to make rootstock for grafting at minimum. but also anything cherry as usual

What do you mean by “getting ratings” on fidbid?
Do you need a high rating to win an auction?

I've seen where some dont want you to bid unless you have a certain rating.
It's really for status I think...shows your dependable and people can take you serious.
Or it shows you cant be trusted. Lol

I think ratings come into play more for sellers then buyers.

I've only done a few auctions and never had an auction win cancelled, but I did have a Buy it Now order that wouldn't let me process because I didn't have enough ratings. Sellers can apparently set a minimum feedback requirement for buyers. I reached out to the seller and they overrode it.

Hahaha, I know you're right. My 1st order for 4 cuttings has arrived, and there were 6 cuttings included.You may have bought 31 cuttings but I know your getting more then that in the mail.

They can do that, but if I’m not mistaken it’s supposed to be spelled out in the listing.
It would be nice if new buyers could leave a deposit within Figbid to avoid this situation. That would protect all parties. I don’t if that’s possible though

The suggestion to do a “buy it now” is a good one. Assuming that would get you what you need to bid on auctions….
