It seems I am always wanting to put a specific light on a specific plant at a specific height and angle. So I got creative and built these out of materials that I had on hand and a tripod I got from a thrift store for $7. The first & second pics are of a light boom that has a reel so it can hoist the light up and down. It has a boom arm that lifts up and down. That light made out of metal and heavier than it looks so there are counter weights to keep it from falling over. At the base is a turn table that allows it to spin 360 degrees. The third pic is a 45w Sansi light mounted on an arm that is on a tripod. It can do everything the other light can do but also the arm can be tilted at different angles. The fourth pic is a clamp lamp sold at big box stores. It's just a 2x4 mounted to a heavy steel plate at the bottom so it doesn't fall over. It is not bolted to the floor. I know it all looks very crude but everything functions exactly the way I want it to.
