image.jpgimage.jpgToday a couple of girlfriends picked me up and we all went out to the town of Schuyler (pronounced Skyler) to visit the Walton’s museum and toured Earl Hammers house. Earl was the writer of the tv show The Waltons. It was really nice tour, great museum. On the way home we stopped at the Rockfish General Store and I just had to buy this jam just because of its unique name, Traffic Jam.

I love the name. You'll have to let us know how it tastes. Hopefully not too sweet to overshadow the fruity goodness.

The jam looks like something I would enjoy. I never see anything like that around here.

Maybe next season the general store will offer "Toe Jam", an eclectic mix of pawpaw, blueberry, butternut squash, tomato, and cream cheese 🤡

I had some this morning on my buttered toast. For me it was very sweet. Sweet enough that it blocked out most of the fruit flavors. Also it was too congealed. Very thick dry gel. Good thing I put it on top of the butter. My son loves it just as it is. Guess he’ll eat it up.

The name usually tells you the ingredients.

TOE jam - tangerine, orange, elderberry

FROG jam - fig, raspberry, orange, ginger

TRAFFIC - peaches, strawberries, pectin, red raspberries, cherries, cranberries. Ok I guess this jam doesn't work as an acronym :(
Not gonna lie. FROG jam sounds pretty good to me.

LOG jam - Lychee , Orange , Grape
