Lets talk about "under" hyped varieties

Of course everyone wants to buy the "IT" varieties but what about varieties that have been around for a while and still amaze growers especially the veterans and phenoms. I am neither of the (2) labels but I will start by saying that Little Miss Figgy is an amazing fig variety. Its been through a lot and after 5 years, it has produced awesome figs and just recently ate well dried fig. The figs neither split nor got spoil even through all of the rainy weather WNC has had (Smith was splitting and spoiling for me). My wife bought it from a local nursery and stayed in the original pot for a year; it was put in ground in year 2 but did not thrive in the same soil my gigantic BT was growing in. In year 3, it got pulled out along with the soil (I was really frustrated with it at that time) and put it in a 3 gal nursery pot and not much growth occurred that year. It grew a little bit in year 4 but in mid summer of 2025 it outgrew the pot. The 5 gal pot it's currently in is still too small but the figs did ripen without any issues. Thank goodness it wasnt culled.

I think LDA and Moscatel Preto are really underrated — meaty, sweet, and just excellent figs.

I am not even sure I want it. It's not my favorite flavor profile, and the figs are tiny. I am short on space here, so I have to be very selective about what I add.
I have sister's. The size and flavor profile are close to the same from what is posted. Can't say I want it or "need" it. But cheap enough I would get it to try. If not. No loss. I have many that are bigger and I am sure better.
