Unk Prosciutto

My inground trees are starting to ripen some figs. I look forward to this variety every year. Very productive and the figs are some of the best tasting Adriatic type. Right up there with Angelito, Green Goblin and White Madeira. If you can let them ripen until they start wrinkling they are hard to beat. Dehydrated they are next level.

A perfectly ripened UP is hard to beat. Way up there for me, even better than WM#1 sometimes. I like mine ripened until I see nice cracks and sugar spots. Too bad my UP is done for the season, and all I have left are good memories and pictures to look at

My Adriatics are just starting to ripen. Maybe you should stagger the early starting date to prolong your season

LOL No, my season is not done, far from that. UP and some other varieties like Tia Penya, RDB, Craven's Craving, and a few others are done, but plenty more are ripening. My fig season this year will be extra long by my standards, from late May until late October, weather permitting. Picked about 4-5 lbs of figs this morning before the rain.

Pics like those UP are so hot we may have to blur them to protect the innocent!

Tia Panya and CC. We really need to discuss those 😃

Wth these look spectecular
These pics are killing me, my WL is going to explode 🥹
Does unk Prosciutto ripen at the same time as the others (WM#1, GG and Agelito)? Or are any of them particularly early?

Mine are ripening at pretty much the same time. Within a week of each other this year, UP was first but not by much

@Figsee your USDA zone in your signature I think should read 6b/7a possibly - it being 6a/7b is kind of skipping 2 “half” zones

Not trying to be critical by the way, just noticed and thought I’d let you know
