I am shocked! Violet Sepor & Adriatic JH

We just got back home from Philly to an amazing surprise. Two Adriatic JH and one Violet Sepor were hanging on the trees waiting for us.

My wife, my 10 yr old child, and I shared the VS 😂 and we truly were wowed. Take the truth from the kid: “Dad, this is the best one of them all!” She had half and mom & dad shared the other half.

Adriatic JH was very nice too, but VS tasted like a royalty (fig) 😀

To be fair, VS is in the ground, AJH is in a 15-gallon pot.

@MFJFIGS congratulations on your welcome home fig treats. Especially a VS I am royally pleased for you, though a little Green With Envy since I do not have a VS yet

I was talking with someone yesterday who was saying some late varieties are ripening early this year and some early one are starting late.so weird. I have a VS ripening now and eating U. Prosciutto and Florea tonight. SMH but not complaining! 😄
This is so true. Violet sepor is ripening with white triana & etnas are just beginning. Bordeaux have mostly been earlier than etnas! Great year so far

I think this is the first mention of White Triana I see here. I'm so curious about this variety - I heard it described as berry-flavor type but with green skin. How do you like it?

White Triana is honey-berry like an Adriatic Lite. It's a tad later than Atreano, shaped more squat and smaller than atreano, and better tasting. It's been a PITA for like 5 years but this year it's showing promise. Stupid patience. Fyi it's nowhere near as good as violet sepor. Def a lower class altogether.

I would agree with this statement. I still find it very tasty though. But most of my trees want to grow as a bush with lots of suckering.
