Sulfur and Figs

I am going to spray wettable Sulfur tonight when it has cooled off some. I picked the ripe figs. Maybe a dumb question about the unripe figs. Will they still be eatable when they ripen? Is there a certain amount of time you have to wait before eating figs that have been sprayed?

What do y'all use to spray sulfur? I only have about 20 fig trees and most of them are small. I used this little half gallon sprayer pictured below. It wasn't the best but I don't plan on having to use it much. Maybe once or twice a year?

What ratio do you mix it? I used Bonide wettable sulfur 1 tbs per half gallon.

I have a few trees that have mottled colored leaves and one that has small very irregular shaped leaves. My WM#1 was growing fast, forming figlets and pushing out lots of green growth. Then at the top there were mottled leaves and the growth came to a screeching halt. I am hoping for good results. Do you only spray once, or have to do it a second time? I read somewhere that I should spray again in 10 days.

I sprayed my trees with this Bonide tomato and vegetable, it a sulfur spray and works very good.

I have a similar sprayer to this one. At bud break I treat with 1 tbsp per half gallon, but if mite symptoms appear, I bump it up to 2 tbsp per half gallon and spray weekly and after heavy rains until new leaves are clear. My trees didn’t show any mite damage this year.

I also use bonide sulfur (I get best dissolving suspension results from this brand) with this sprayer https://a.co/d/0vpKDDL.

It works do well I got a second one. I use one for bad (insecticides) and one for good (foliar nutrient sprays).

One note: I get Bonide products at Tractor Supply. Much cheaper than Amazon.
I got mine at Tractor Supply too. They only had 1 bag left and I think it was the only bag in town.

How many times do you spray fig trees with sulfur? Is it a weekly routine or as needed?
I've been using it for fig bud mites. I treated weekly for 5-6 weeks until all new growth looked healthy and no signs of any new damage. Most trees looked great after the 5-6 weeks. I had a few that still hadn't cleared up, and I'm still treating them weekly. On the ones that look healthy, I'm no longer treating, but I'm monitoring them and will go back to weekly treatments if I see new signs of damage.

10 or 11 days is the cycle of the Fig Bud Mite. But when it's fully suspended I would say you could go two weeks at the very least before spraying again. One time we treated at four teaspoons per gallon. At that time we were basically done for the year. Let it be suspended, and it's so much stronger solution
