SoCal Sunset hiding out back

Nice, couple of leaves are huge, looks Iike is going to need larger pot

It’s getting root bound but it’ll have to wait a few days. It’s getting busy in the garden. It may have fruited but it’ll wasn’t getting a lot of sun. I did move it to a new location.

I think I mentioned that they get away from me sometimes. I thought this SoCal Sunset was the top of a Black Celeste that was in front of it. I’ve never considered it could’ve gotten so big so quickly. I really hope this thing holds onto figs up here. It’s definitely vigorous.

Never heard of this one. Quick lookup says it may have a pineapple flavor. Why did you decide to grow it?

Seedling find near San Diego. A friend gave me a cutting. I really just wanted to see how it does here. Pineapple would be nice! Hopefully next season I can get a taste.

I have SoCal Sunset too. Is it common? For some reason I thought it wasn't.

The Black Celeste has lots of figs on it. It's the So Cal Sunset that was getting shaded and didn't fruit. I actually have two Blk Celeste fruiting this year. I need to part with one of them... Two many doubles isn't an option here.

Great root stock !
