The $1000 fig tree

If the idea of the forming fellowships moves forward. Maybe they could consider sourcing or trying to source from within the forum first before looking outside. A member within may very well have a targeted variety and be willing to part with cuttings in exchange for funds to farther their personal endeavors.
I think most of the figs mentioned above can be found in this group. Maybe those members have varieties they are looking for that can be sourced as well

THANK YOU MattK !!!! Love to propigate anything you could send me this winter , will use for the good of the forum and to any "fig fellowships" that form with not for profit goals . What would you like to do ?

GOOD IDEA DCallahan ,Seems like for most of the canidate fig varietes a great forum members stands up to voluntier cuttings before any attempt to buy it are made ! Might be a rare occurance where a "fellowship" has a target fig var. to actualy buy ????
@Fig Gazer exactly, Like @Figsee mentioned above. There very well could be only one or two varieties a year that get super hot that may not already be in the fold within this group.

MattK:I AGREE ,Personaly i am not qualified to pick varieties ,know a little about what i have and give most of them away for free . What little i know about rare/expensive varieties is what i read here
This threads gonna get long quick😆

@AAAJacks @PapaFig I actually didnt know you two were a partnership. I would love to hear/read more about your partnership. I am certainly very curious about the home base Orchard particulars that you would care to share with us.

I have a gardening partner named Sean. We have been partnered up for more than a year. We met on another Horticultural platform where we were both new members. We had a lot of similarities as we were both in our first year of growing figs. LOL age was certainly not one of them, as I am much older than Sean. For personal reasons he has not joined this platform, and is not currently active on any platform. Though Sean certainly deserves credit for having helped in the new member cutting giveaway this year. So we certainly have some similarities as we have 200 ft Greenhouse that we both share on the property. As well as well over 300 plus fig trees in various States of growth. Since my home base Orchard has some similarities I would love to hear the details you are willing to share about your shared Horticultural projects.

Probably this would be more appropriate in a new thread because we are trying to organize a shared grafting, and propagation project together with our FigFanatic membership on this thread. But I would love to learn more about your home-based Orchard project. Maybe on another thread but LOL I am fascinated.
Should be more coming out about us Saturday on The Fig Jam.
