I am unable to see a difference in size from last week. Tomorrow temps supposed to hit 112 … mercy ! 
The trees look healthy, not wilting in the heat. I think mine would do better if I plant them in the ground.I went out today and checked the figs to see if its time to put the bird net but I didn’t see any figs swelling or started to get color, all the figs seems frozen in time
Definitely trees in the ground can tolerate the heat better than being in pots and the roots go deeper and avoid the heat as well

Nope, the tree seem to handle it fine especially fig trees, my citrus tree leaves will get sunburned at end of summer but the fruits still be ok. I think the trick is waterand more water

so true, I just woke up from a nap after grilling few steaks in the grill, the heat takes any energy out of you. I used to wonder how people lived here before AC existed and why would you settle here versus San Diego for example back in the day LOL

Very true, i think if the roots are healthy and getting water they will make it.I think fig trees are resilient to heat but water is key. I lost 2 citrus trees last year but the fig trees are doing good. If your golden riverside is swelling then your season has started
