I don't have the room either. I keep a couple from this or that cross.
Hope to do it right one day to see the true outcome of the crosses.
But for now collecting has now become priority. :)
 
Can some people show some figs from those seedlings?

I've had about 8 seedling varieties. Three are known female fig varieties that produced figs in California. Two of the three produced figs in NJ. So they are "common" varieties. Those two could still be the same since they come from the same backyard in CA.

I ended up sending most of the seedling plants to another member to use as rootstocks. I grow so many fig plants. Really no room for those seedlings since they compete for winter storage space.

I travel to fig producing regions all the time. Saw a lot of fig seedling plants alone the roads etc. Locals just ignore them. Most are male figs that do not even produce any figs.

Most of mine are to young to produce. Some may this year.
I must say that you can not tell if a fig is male or female if it has not produced.
Give any seedling time and it will produce. May or may not ripen in your area wasp dependent.
But will produce. Then and only then can we determine male or female.
 
We grow fig plants for figs. I just have enough fig trees. I removed about two dozens trees that have either dropped all figs, or never produced any figs over several years. I'd rather spend more time with trees that will produce. Just me.

Some take years to produce. Cuttings or seedling's. If you want something that produces sooner.. Grow a vegetable.
Growing figs and fruit is not for everyone.
