The big sale is here!

There do not seem to be a lot of people growing this one, and I can't imagine why not. But it is interesting to know you are seeing the same thing. I think it might be a good one for people with small spaces. It seems to stay small and is super productive. Here's some tree pix from 2021 of the first tree I had at 2 years old. That was the first year it loaded up like this and I was amazed. You can see how close the nodes are together. Best part is that it doesn't drop the fruit. I pretty much ripens them all. That's a lot of production.
I think the biggest reason why not was the naming confusion so many had between Lebanese Red and Red Lebanese BV. RLBV has been an “it” fig for several years now, and any time someone would ask (confused) about the name difference, everyone would tout how great RLBV is and say that would be their choice between the two.

They are not in the same grouping of figs, so it wasn’t the same thing as asking whether Chicago Hardy or MBVS were better or something like that, but Lebanese Red didn’t get picked up as much due to the hype around RLBV in a direct comparison (I’m guessing) as opposed to thinking of it on its own possible merits.

That helps me, because I was confused reading on this thread about how RL was dwarf. Thinking in my head that the RLBV definitely isn't dwarf.
@2Angels , sorry about the Cherry Bomb talk hijacking your sales thread for a bit. I hope your sale is going well.

Thank you for that explanation, I was thinking they were the same fig. Now I know.
