Backstory: There was an unknown dried fig that I had fallen on the concrete a few months ago.

Today I discovered a cool sight, the top layer of fig had vanished and exposed big pollinated seeds.

That’s a long and laborious process only to find out the Smyrna fig doesn’t taste good =)

In my head I was having visions of it miraculously being a delicious, common fig that has notes of strawberry and capocollo

That’s a great thought, but I’m a realist =)

I gave a gallon of dried fallen figs to a friend to distribute as he wishes. Hopefully it’s turn into some great wild finds in the next decade.

That’s the first time I’ve ever seen pollinated fig seeds. Is it true that only pollinated seeds can germinate into a tree that will produce figs? If memory serves me well un pollinated seeds can grow a tree but will not produce any figs.

Only pollinated seeds will sprout.

I don't blame you...work is keeping me plenty busy, it's difficult to deal with so much when I get home.
