Temps dropping tonight.

The high at my house today was 34° and quite windy. Right now it's 26°, and the predicted low is 15°. What's your prediction for tonight?

We have low twenties tonight and low teens tomorrow night. Spent part of the day protecting things that I normally shouldn't need to protect.

Here's to hoping that my basement stairwell is as warm as I think I could be...

My kids wore shorts today 😀.
Wait... I can't seem to find the emoji with the finger I'm looking for

My body was engineered for Zone 11. I'm spoiled for Canada being by the lake, but it's still so hard on my bones going outside right now. As far as I'm concerned, winter shouldn't be any colder than this.

It is rainy season there... for the next two weeks 🤔

My bones hurt as it is, can’t imagine living where it snows. One day with 40% chance of rain is the rainy season for us 😂 . If I didn’t have a family I’d be retired in southern Mexico or Central America.

We hit 15 degrees here in VA 7A. All potted trees were moved to the garage, and my most sensitive in-ground trees are covered, or have a few branches bent and covered. They had previously only been mulched 6” with wood chips to protect the roots. My main winterization will start soon, where I will bend and cover lower branches and suckers for all my trees. I’ve decided the upper branches will be left to fend for themselves this year (not cutting). I will only bend mulch and tarp/bubble wrap the most sensitive varieties or young trees.
