Zaffiro Breba

Was hard for me just watching and waiting but looks like I picked her just right!

As expected it was quite sweet and was a cross between juicy and creamy and showed some cracking which told me to start laying back on the overwatering.

Zaffiro continues to live up to the hype as one of the best honey types there are!

I am surprised it made it inside.

I have couple main crop figs that were late to form on a small branch, I hope they ripen this year to see if it’s worth the hype about this fig from the looks of these pics obviously, its worth it

She was! Planning on letting the other one dry some more to concentrate those sugars.

I ended up putting mine in the grave yard by mistake...thinking it was something else.
That's what I get for using pots multiple times and not removing the old name. lol

I killed mine too... Not before I tasted it... I had this one a while back and had a couple figs first year. They were awesome! Then I let it get too cold while it was still little

It made me sad!

Now that looks divine. My died on me this past winter so I got to aquire another one. I've never got to try Zaffiro yet

It was really good. Complex flavour. Worth another shot

@Figneer sorry but AGAIN greed tool over - I remembered only after eating half of it and was like "dammit".

BUT letting her hang made it sweeter and was on the edge of spoiling which was weird because I only found it at the stem so once it hits jelly bag soft with the texture of an 90 year old skin it's a day past the expiration.

I'm checking unfortunately the master list is in Berkeley, and I'm currently in Los Angeles. I was wondering if @Venturabananas gave it to me months ago as a cutting. Maybe we can get it donated to us from another source if not in the inventory. If possible I will see if an air layer is obtainable. @ktrain would you mind caretaking if I can find it? You're better at caretaking a variety that I am. Also air layering

I already trialed this one, and @Kid Fig already has it....mine may be one of the varieties that grew back in my graveyard.

Thanks - happened to me with a Not Yolo Bypass.

When it finally gave off figs it was nothing like YB so that's when I realized I mixed it up (there were many clues to this).

Funny enough I had given away all my true Yolos and kept this NOT.- I couldn't even tell you what it really is.
