Yellow Long Neck 2024 (Caprified)

What the....I have never seen that fig look like that!

Here they look like those yellow sponges you do dishes with except one that has been used for 8 or 10 yrs. LOL

@ktrain that’s the sponge I would have if I wasn’t married.

I think this variety needs plenty of sunshine and to be in the ground to shine. Its fruit and leaves match the Golden Rainbow variety.

Totally night and day from uncaprified... at least for me... I had YLN for years but here it was always, meh.... Never anything like that! I need to carve out a piece of my life where I can grow capri and get something like this. Truly outstanding fig you have there.... I love how thin the skin is around the pulp mass.... Yum!

@"Figology"#21 . You never forget your first love. My First Love was yellow long neck. I planted three in the ground in Sunland California at my cousin's two and a half acres spread. I will be going back to see how they're doing in another few weeks. Meanwhile let me congratulate you for growing such an absolutely lovely looking caprified yellow long neck. So juicy and yellow looking it hurts your eyes. I definitely want to bite into that yellow goodness.

@figless I’m not too far from Sunland. I can drop off a bunch of potted trees I’m not keeping for a donation of your choice to the forum if you would like.

@"Figology"#21. Wow that sounds wonderful let me check with my cousin because it is her property. I will send you my contact info by p.m.
