That would make sense because it’s a later variety, right? Is this variety slow at lignifying for anyone else? It’s my last tree with a large amount of green growth. Seems to lignify at a crawl compared to my other trees.
Not sure tbh. It’s a first year tree I got this summer, so all new to me.That would make sense because it’s a later variety, right?
Not new new but newish. I started to worry bc growth from the same time period on other trees had already almost fully lignified. I did just check and it’s starting to show signs at the bottom of the growth.I have never really noticed it being much slower than most,
Certainly not like Smith.
Is it recent growth?
I start getting brebas in June and main crop in July. That is if we don't get another 7° F days. That would make sense because it’s a later variety, right?
I have a 3rd year old Smith 2nd year inground and last year it went into dormancy with a lot of green growth on the ends of branches . Only lost a few inches on some of the greener ends. This year it's lignified all the time way up. I guess they get a little tougher each yearI have never really noticed it being much slower than most,
