Castel Trosino is in Europe, in Italy, in the town of Castel Trosino. You could combine holidays + treasure hunt, locate the mother tree and distribute lots of cuttings to all of us European fig collectors ;)

Mario said the mother tree (30-40 feet high) was located near the only entrance of the town... I am just saying all this because I had considered it myself.

PSA: To search for people that are wanting a specific cutting you have, click "Control + F" (Cmd + F on a Mac). A window will pop up. Type in the variety and click enter. It will highlight that word every time it shows up on the page.

This will make searching MUCH easier. Thank you @julie! :)

Basically the only place I travel to in Italy is Paolo Belloni's place. He is an incredible guy, I consider him the closest fig friend. He knows my entire family and I always love to go back and talk hours with him about figs. This year he found out a company established in 1910 that specialize in fig processing, so he made a deal with them, sending them selected figs. He actually sent me some of products this Monday, along with a lot of cuttings. New varieties of his I wanted to add, so I guess I can live without Castel Trosino in the end 🙂
