If you want to do in ground you can even try a hybrid of The Woodbridge Guesthouse and the Figloo. Put your potted trees in there with your in ground.

That’s great information, made me remember an article that I read about frost entering the ground beneath structures at a 45 degree angle. Might be worthwhile burying some blue styrofoam 45 degrees out to stop frost from creeping under?

I pile cedar mulch up around my wrapped trees to keep the wind out
