What kind of fig?

I’ve always admired this fig, it’s in my work area but I’m never there when they’re ripe. I’m always in the area too early or too late lol. Nice tree, unkept, and never protected. Heavy producer, and as you can see grapes growing in the fig tree.

I’ll have to ask if I can get a cutting but I never see anyone around, lots of holy statues in every window and front porch. I know it’s an older couple, maybe down to one person now.

Looks awesome, hard to tell the variety w/o a pic of the fig.
Might be worth getting a cutting if it's a nice cold hardy tree, lots of people looking for that attribute. :)

Very cool. Loved the grapes in it. I’m sure if you asked nicely they would probably be thrilled to let you get cuttings. Might even give you the story of the tree. Good luck

The figs are there but not ripe—we don’t even know if it’s a dark or white fig yet

I’ll keep my eye out when I’m in the area

Yea, those leaves are cool and there’s over 200 figs on that tree, hard to tell from the pics but that tree is loaded

Yea, there has to be a story to that fig

IMO the best thing to do in a situation like this is....assuming it's on private property... talk to the owner and ask what they know about it and if you can take a few sticks.... or if you hit it off maybe set a layer... then come back with a little something to thank them when you return for the layer. Nothing big.... just a gesture of thanks.. Cannoli are perfect for something like this :)

I love the figs with a story behind them...and I'll bet this one has a story to tell. If you are able to hear it from the couple who live there, that would be so cool. And just the fact that it has survived there and is loaded with figs...that if very cool also.
