What amendments should I add ?

I have a bunch of different smaller fruits of various kinds in my greenhouse that I've pretty much ignored this year other than to make sure the sprinkler system comes on every day..... but I'm wanting to up pot them all. Things like Pawpaws, a Mexican ( from Mexico no name ) mulberry, currants, etc.
NORMALLY I'd go to my local greenhouse supply and buy bales of their pro mix, or their Bacto, and I love both of those, but we weren't close today, so I went up and down the isles at Lowes checking what they had.
Not very impressive.
I bought a few bags of this......it had a decent rating, but I've never used it. There was a 'ahem' hole in the bag so I felt it, which I like to do. My question is, has anyone used this for fruit trees, to up pot or add to the pot they're in, and should I ammend it ?

Thanks !

Someone else may know better, but I think the issue with garden soil in pots is that it'll get too dense and compact over time. I think if that's all I had I'd start to amend w something to prevent that... additional perlite/pumace/vermiculite/rice hulls/coarse sand or some witches brew of all? T 🤔

Yeah it's heavy....so I might do that...Normally I buy a good soil , and really wish I'd waited and done that. I have a huge bag of rice hulls, that's a good idea too.

I would do 2 parts of that, 1 part peat/coir 1 part perlite. Feel free to tossi n coarse sand or rice hulls too. assuming its for trees in pots?

I mix the tree and shrub mix at a 1:1 ratio with Ocean Forest/bag soil mixes or a good compost mix. The tree shrub mix makes for good aeration for 2-3 seasons before the bigger wood chunks start breaking down. It allows me to skip perlite in most of my mixes. I believe Lowes marks down price on damaged bags if you point it out to them, might be worth looking into if you paid full price for the bag that was damaged.
