Between a super busy summer with family and paying so much attention to the garden outside... I think I may have neglected my hydroponic greens just a little bit too long...



I decided to dismantle, clean everything out and let it dry up for a few weeks while we're eating out of the garden. Never seen lettuce get this big without going to seed....

I gave some leaf lettuce seeds a go this. Very nice in salad.

I'm growing a lot of greens outside now. When the garlic comes out of the raised beds, I immediately use the space to plant fast growing fall crops. Mustard greens, arugula, beans, radishes etc. So I don't need the hydroponic lettuce like I do off season.

Wow that is an out of control batch of hydroponic lettuce. LOL I thought you mostly grew salami out there in Toronto... of course this is coming from the member who's been weeding for a solid week out here in Berkeley CA.

You should try the Farm to table concept by moving the farm near the table. That way, you may be able to encourage the kids to eat more veggies.

LoL! All those big stalks are gone. We're eating outdoor veggies now. Tomatoes and peppers are rolling in

When my children were little kids they would eat all their vegetables on their plates as long as it was corn.
