I've often wondered why he named it "Vista" when it is located in San Marcos. I'm going to a Kaiser facility down the street off Twin Oaks today and I'll check to see if that Caprifig is still there.

I have a Vista fig tree.  I purchased it from www.almostedenplants.com a couple of years ago it produced figs this year but too late.

There are two cultivars named "Vista". You have the Common variety, which is a pseudosynonym of VdB. Here we are discussing the Caprifig variety mentioned by W. Armstrong.
